SportDOG's 50-foot biothane long line uses 3/4-inch wide welded beta biothane webbing rated to 600 lbs breaking strength — sufficient for the explosive 150 lb tug capacity of Rottweilers and German Shepherds in field training scenarios where a broken line could result in dangerous uncontrolled access to the public. Biothane does not absorb water, mud, or odors, and the smooth surface does not tangle or kink during extended field sessions the way cotton or nylon long lines do in wet grass. A nickel-plated trigger snap hooks to harness D-rings, and the thumb loop handle allows emergency capture without full retrieval of the line. Available in 30 and 50 ft lengths; weight 14 oz in 50-ft XL version.
